Salads are foods made primarily from a mixture of raw or cold ingredients, typically vegetables, that can be served with toppings or mayonnaise. Vegetables are naturally healthy, they provide the body with vitamins, good minerals and supplies an astounding amount of fiber that is essential for the body. Do know that as everything has an advantage there will be a disadvantage, not all salads are healthy and nutritious this depends on the type of toppings or different ingredients that was added. Try to choose only one, maybe two of these items to add to make your vegetable beautiful. Do use a darker lettuce, light green lettuce has fiber but not as many nutrients as dark greens such as kale. Add variety to your salad with high fiber items such as legumes like beans, raw vegetables, fresh and dried fruit, including a protein in your salad to help make them a filling meal, such as beans, canned salmon, or boiled eggs.
